Updated News 2010

20-2-2010 We had a surprise email from Mr Brain whos father owned Thordis in the late 50's. He kindly sent us a few pictures which will prove very useful during the restoration, and also managed to fill in a couple of missing years in the timeline we're building up. We thank him very much for getting in touch.

If anyone has old photos or documentation in reference to Thordis we would be very grateful if they could contact us through this web site. We can not stress how important and useful it is to the restoration and future Thordis archive.

Here are a few of the photos.

10-4-2010 It's nice when you find something that you know is exactly right for Thordis and it was that feeling we got when we saw a lovely classic mahogany dinghy needing a new home.

26-4-10 Over the weekend we visited a traditional chandlers in Woodbridge and travelled on to Beaulieu boatjumble to hunt for those elusive parts for Thordis's restoration. Our best find was a 'royal head' (toilet) from the royal yacht Bloodhound, to go with Thordis's other royal connections.

Thordis had a Blakes Victory on board when we bought her but it was in such bad condition that we've been searching for a good one ever since.
